Sofia Piyi Syka has a Bachelor degree on Fashion design from Akto, Art and Design College. Over the years she has participated in several Erasmus Plus programs about Arts and Crafts, Performing Arts and Upcycling. When the refugee crisis reached the island she comes from, Lesvos, she work together with refugees creating handbags from the used lifejackets. That’s when she got involved with Fashion Revolution Greece and organized open activities in the city of Mytilene. Recently she worked in a circular second hand brand in USA. Her goal is to create artistic forms that will keep traditions alive in a sustainable zero waste lifestyle.
